Cllr Maureen Nixon

I’m a proud councillor and I’m committed to giving something back. I’ve lived in Skelmersdale for 38 years. I worked in Bright Beginnings Nursery supporting children and their families.

I’ve supported people with lots of social issues, and I’m actively involved in fundraising and charity events. I’ve raised funds for school uniforms and other worthy charities. I’ve also organised collections for food banks, raffles and helped out in breakfast clubs during school holidays.

I started a community garden in Elswick. Unfortunately the pandemic stopped any gardening taking place, but i’m keen to restart this.
